TORTURE- FOR THE SAKE OF PROGRESS OR PROFIT?

The topic of animal testing is one of the most depressing things out there in the world today. Genocide, climate change, animal cruelty. The lack of humanity is a serious issue that needs to be checked. According to PETA there are more than 100 million animals that get tested on in the US alone. Excuse my French but "HOLYfu#$%^&Damn" that's a lot of cute cuddly creatures getting Fu#$ed. The spectrum ranges from little mice to large Apes.

Key points

  • · In-Vitro/Test tube experiments- This testing works just as effectively and nobody gets hurt. Some may argue it is more effective and beneficial to sample human cells.
  • Already failed- Apparently, we have already cured Aids, Cancer, Sepsis in different species of Mice and Apes but have not been able to mirror the effects in humans.
  • All about the Mothaf$%king Money- $14.5 billion dollars allocated to animal testing by the federal government- The grant money gets allocated to various research labs, EPA and FDA, dept of transport to push their own marketing agendas for profit.

Blinding bunnies with cosmetic tests, burning them to the brink of death and keeping them alive, inhumanely chopping monkey’s brains open Indiana Jones style while they are still alive, infesting mice and gerbils with parasites are just some of the inhumane tortures we put animals through. God knows how many died in vain and how many helped line pockets with gold.

Humans are curious creatures that have risen to the top of the food chain, but with great power comes great responsibility (Quote Ben Parker Spiderman) and respect is a word that carries a lot of weight. We must respect the world we live in and species within it.
